I am very pleased to recommend Alan Hayman and the Hayman Consulting Group for professional consulting services. Hayman Consulting assisted MPS with strategic channel development activities within the MICROS POS reseller and business community.
Alan provided a value-added approach to assignments whereby his insight and “outside-the-box” thinking enabled Mercury to establish new client relationships and new recruitment methodologies that have led to substantial revenue generation. Additionally, Alan’s practice of partnering with clients to get results, his effectiveness in working with various stakeholders within an organization and his expansive knowledge of and network within the restaurant industry set the stage for high impact results in working with Hayman Consulting.
Mercury Payment Systems looks forward to working with Alan on future projects.
The Education Department at RSPA engaged the services of Hayman Consulting Group in 2012 to develop the first 2 courses within a new Sales Training for experienced Salespeople and Sales Managers. The results were two polished, engaging workshops that we will be utilizing to form the basis of our advanced level Sales Training here at RSPA. Alan was great—from the start of the project, until it’s conclusion, he listened to our needs, asked terrific questions, and had a real interest in ensuring that the product we asked for was the product we received. His ideas – including conducting surveys to gather data prior to the composition of the course content, to his careful selection of graphics for his slide deck—were all thoughtful and deliberate, with the singular goal of producing a stellar result.
Given his vast experience in the Sales field and in Business, he was refreshingly open to feedback, and made every effort to ensure that the course attendees had their questions answered. He continually made himself available to attendees, which was certainly outside of his obligation to RSPA.
In general, Alan has an incessant energy, which is both surprising and contagious. He is constantly generating new and innovative ideas, is completely “hands-on,” during projects, and is committed to excellence. His listening skills, combined with his expertise and depth of experience, create a terrific working relationship. Without question, we would recommend the services of Alan and the Hayman Consulting Group to any organization.

I am sure you have gotten lots of these newsletters, but don’t realize what you are missing. If bean-counters are doing this, so should you. By working with The Z Report since early 2009, building email lists, and learning how to use Constant Contact (the “vehicle” used by Alan and everyone else, including my Accountant), we have now become fairly proficient in producing and sending some on our own (in between Alan’s quarterly output).
But we would never stop subscribing to The Z Report because of the rich content. We try to limit our “internally” produced ones to a single subject matter, whereas The Z Report has multiple articles.
If you are not doing this…you should.
Most modern, lowest cost, best return for today’s marketing dollars.
Overall an excellent presentation … again!
I wanted to thank you for your insightful sales training presentation this afternoon with RSPA. I have a number of great take-aways that I will implement. I appreciated your thoughts on creating a profile, how to be effective in prospecting (I like that term better than “cold calling”), and how to create and give a meaningful elevator speech.
I am a relatively new reseller to the industry and found your approach simple, straight forward, and in agreement with the approach I want to take as I build my customer base. Really appreciated your time this afternoon. I know you have been in the industry for a number of years, thanks for sharing your experience.
Lots of good feedback on the presentations you gave – right on the mark and hopefully our dealers will take your advice.
I am moved by your passion for the industry, and service and dedication to RSPA. I learned so much from you about the retail technology and the sales profession, and found many of our discussions very thought provoking. It was a pleasure to work with you.
Given his credentials and success as an entrepreneur, I recently invited Alan to speak to my class and share his valuable insights on business. In hearing him convey some of the complexities involved in developing and implementing new digital technologies, such as smartphone apps, it was fascinating to note that it is his mastery of seemingly basic communication skills, which may serve him best: active listening – to better understand each client’s unique business needs. To me, it his ability as a communicator, in consort with his business acumen, that really sets him apart from others in his field.
My experience with Alan Hayman, founder of Hayman Consulting Group, goes back about 30 years. From my earliest days in the technology industry, I have worked with him on many different levels and in a variety of settings and scenarios.
Regardless of whether we were working in a vendor relationship, business partnership, or consulting engagement, the experience has always been the same. Alan has the skills to help run a successful small company as well as those required to grow a larger public company. He is smart, creative and hard working. He has extremely high ethics and the ability to make those around him comfortable and fell like they are part of a team.
My most recent experience included an invitation to present to our association at our annual show which was attended by almost 1400 participants. The seminar, “21 Myths about Selling Large Accounts”, was a success and we are planning on working together again in the near future.
I would not hesitate to recommend Alan Hayman and Hayman Consulting Group to help any technology company looking for creative thinking backed by years of experience and successful execution.
