Alan Hayman, Founder

Alan-BWAlan Hayman founded Hayman Consulting Group in 2006 after retiring from MICROS Systems, Inc. as Executive Vice President. His companies, including Hayman Systems with operations in DC, Maryland, Florida and Colorado, merged with MICROS in 1999. Alan was promoted to an officer of the company and was responsible for a large business unit called Restaurant Sales and Strategies. During his tenure, MICROS doubled in size and today is the leading provider of technology to the hospitality, retail, and hotel markets with a market cap of $3.5 billion with over 5000 employees.

After graduation from the Boston University School of Management, Alan joined Hayman System and along with his family built one of the most successful point-of-sale distributorships in the country. Over a 27 year period, Alan helped to expand the company into multiple states and created POS Depot, an e-commerce site, offering unique supplies to restaurant and retail operators.

Today, Alan is focused on Hayman Consulting Group which provides a variety of services and capabilities to clients who are small and large including startups and public companies. In addition, the firm also consults for the leading associations in the country including the National Restaurant Associations and Retail Systems Providers Associations. The company has also launched two branded e- newsletters called The Z Report and Xpress Lines which are used by the leading point-of-sale (POS) dealers in the country.

In 2009, Alan co-founded XCO Software which has become a leading provider smartphone applications leveraging a robust Content Management System developed by the company. Richard Hayman

RWH-BWRichard Hayman, with over forty years of business experience in small and mid-size businesses ranging from multi-generational ones to Microsoft Solution providers, is fluent in a wide-range of disciplines. Today, most of his time is spent with CEO’s who are building successful businesses and need help in managing change, growth, and preparing for a merger and/or multiple acquisitions.

As a CEO coach, Richard helps a CEO understand what’s missing and what needs improving in his/her desire to become a more successful CEO an dynamic business leader. Entrepreneurs often focus so much on the idea that they frequently miss the basics which can make their company bullet-proof from changes in the marketplace. His experience building companies that last more than 10 years take most founders on a journey to discover what they missed along the way.

As a specialist in improving banking relationships, Richard guides CEO’s in exactly how they should manage their bankers and create lasting partnerships. In addition, Richard’s operational expertise has proven to an invaluable asset to companies he has built and consulted with to develop rock solid systems.

He is a graduate of Cornell University where he majored in industrial engineering and holds a Master’s Degree from The George Washington University in Systems Management. He has lectured and served in various capacities at The American University and Cornell University.


Claudine Rubin

CBH-BWClaudine has 20 years of marketing and public relations experience in both B2B and B2C industries. She is a skilled marketing director with excellent organization and communication skills, a talent for identity-building, and for generating publicity. With more than a decade of experience working at Hayman Systems, MICROS-Fidelio Southeast and with the Hayman Consulting Group she understands the POS industry and dealer marketing strategies. Her other areas of expertise include family business, start-ups, event coordination and planning, collateral and website development, franchising and the in-home services.

Claudine earned her B.A. from the University of Wisconsin, Madison and lives in Gaithersburg, MD with her husband and two daughters.
